This Site is the Property of the C-K Alumni Band.

In The summer of 1990 former members of the Ceredo-Kenova High School Band were approached by leaders in

the communities with the request that we pull out our dusty musical instruments and give an on-field performance at the upcoming homecoming football game that Autumn. The intention was to give a one-time performance. However, because the band members received such a positive response from the community, and had such a good time themselves, we were persuaded to give a performance at the homecoming every year.

Word soon got out us, prompting other area community and civic organizations to request appearances by the band. Now in our 17th year, the C-K Alumni Band gives over 20 performances each year.

Because of the band’s popularity and style of music played, many musicians from outside the C-K community have

also joined. Some are graduates of local schools, some

have moved to the areas all across the United States. Our members’ profiles have varied demographics. Ages range from teenagers to those in their 70s. Many of the members are married to each other and/or have children who also

play in the band. Some musicians have been playing their

instruments ever since high school, while others had not played for over 30 years. To become a member the level

of musical experience is not important. We simply enjoy playing for our community-at-large and having the

camaraderie of being with fellow musicians and friends.

The C-K Alumni Band

is an all-volunteer band.

We do not charge for

performances, but

consider it a gift to

you and the community.

Donations are

appreciated to offset the organization's costs.
